Friends Come and Go

For the past few days, I've been experiencing slight problems with my peers. It's true pala na in high school, you'll know who your true friends are.

Me, Princess, Alissa, Pam, Eljean
Before going to Eastwood, our batch watched Noli Me Tangere @ AFP Theatre
So, last friday, Aug. 31. Me and my section friends (Cause I'm not sure if we're official as a group) went to Eastwood to celebrate Alissa's birthday!

There was a delay because of transportation but we still had extra fun. Since we we're all hungry because we didn't eat lunch. LOL =))) we looked for a restaurant to have dinner and we decided to eat at Teriyaki Boy. It was so funny because our volume in the restaurant's so loud. =))) and our topic's about friendship (we were having the same problems)

(Before eating)

After eating, the initial plan is to watch Part Of Me (Katy Perry) but then the movie started at around 5:00pm and we arrived Eastwood by 7:00. (It was actually my first time to go out with a group of friends to eastwood and to go out that late) But since we're late we decided to go bowling. Funny that we don't know how to play compared to the others. =))) and the next lane to us is a PBA (?) player. We were suppose to get a picture with him but then it's their quality time.

Before going bowling! (left ro right) Alissa, Princess, Pam, Me, Eljean

Thanks to Manong Bowling for the this picture. =))) HEHEHE It was actually awkward for me at first since it was a long time since I went bowling. Couldn't believe I still had a little skill left.

Bowling! :D

There were lapses while playing since they would randomly take pictures. HEHE
Then, we went to Serenitea (and it's my first time HAHAHAH) My dad called me already and asked me to go to Friday's since they're having dinner and it's already late. That's basically what we did. Eat and go bowling. But it was hella-fun!

more bowling pictures. =)))

An appeal for your GENEROSITY

The Year 3 students of Assumption Antipolo will be heading the Medical Dental Mission of our school. This will benefit those living around the area and also for outsiders. But how do we start it without doctors? So please, if you know any doctors/nurses/dentists/pharmacist or any other person in this field, please comment here or PM me on facebook / twitter. However, if you don’t seem to have any connections, you can donate cash or medicines! :D THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Oh, and don't forget to place their name, contact number, and specialization if you know anyone who wants to volunteer!

end of 1st quarter!

Today, we finished our Quarterly Tests. It was fine (HAHAHA) Uhhh, I couldn't say anything about it since I find the test neutral or it's just because we had 1 week preparation because of the habagat.

Our teachers kept on saying ever since our first day that our 3rd year grades would value so much for college. So I have to study seriously if I want to go to a good school. I don't have a school in mind yet but just in case, I'm doing my good in class so far.. :D

Here comes the sun, doodododo!

It was a really hot day morning of yesterday. I was suppose to go out that day with my bestfriend to watch Brave and Step Up but it didn't push through. So I decided going to my dad's office instead. My sister and Kelly came a long. Kelly and I were left in dad's office. I didn't do much though.

After office hours, we went to the grocery to restock our supply since a calamity just hit our place and we were running out of stock. While in the grocery, I can hear thunder and rain. It didn't hit me that much that flood was going on outside already. Heading home, we encountered a really heavy traffic. My dad asked for advice on which route to take. We went the Taytay way. By the end of the road, there was flood. Before moving forward, we checked out the people walking and the water was only ankle level so it was alright. When we reached the middle part, water started entering our car!! I suddenly felt something cold and then I checked, it was water. We reached the higher part of the way so we stopped there first for 10 - 15 minutes since something is happening with the machine of the car. After that, we then moved forward again. We found cars going to the gas station just in front of another high flood. We were stranded and waited for about 30 minutes for firetrucks to fetch us and bring us home.

When they finally arrived, we sat in the front seat and I can see in Kelly's face that she's really scared so my sister sang "Surfing Safari" from Hi5 to keep her calm. When I saw our house, I felt safe and calm already. This experience is a first so it's very unforgettable.

Actually, my fingers were hurting already since whenever I feel scared or unease I would bite my nails to keep me calm. Due to the tension, they even had arguments which made me even scared from a trauma so I just closed my eyes and covered my ears.

*This post should really be a fashion post but due to the happenings, I would just jam it together. :D

Shop & Eat 'till we drop

Sunday is family day! We would usually go to near malls and hang out there. This time around, we went over the line (lol). Our family went to SM North Edsa for my sister's check up. We all came along since Sunday IS family day and try out another place. Right before entering my dad said "Hindi natin kaya ikutin to! Ang laki!" I said in reply "Kaya yan! Shop till we drop! HAHA!".

Our first agenda is to search for a place to eat. I told them that I want to eat at Racks just because I was craving for their mudpie. While walking, my sister realized that it's in the other building which is quite far. But right infront of us was Tender Bob's. We also like the food there so why not try it the second time around. We ordered a seafood platter and steak platter just because we were too lazy to browse thru their menu and it's the first one on the first page. While waiting for our food to be served, my sister and her husband, decided to go to the clinic and make "pa-lista". Just as they left, the food was served. Me and my dad attempted to wait for them until it was taking too long and we can't help it anymore since the steak looks really scrumptious as well as the seafood platter.

Seafood and Steak Platter
After eating, I glanced through their menu once again to look at the dessert. Viola! They had mudpie WITH ice cream!! <3 but then, my dad also want the banana split as well as the humongous ice cream mountain. We couldn't decide what to order so my dad said "Gusto mo lahat yan e!" with no other arguments, I said "SIGE!!" But then his facial expression changed. LOL! My sister interrupted and said "Sa labas na lang kayo mag order ng dessert marami diyan" And so, our decision changed.
Hard part of the menu. Hahaha

We payed our bill yada yada yada. To save up time, we decided to split up. My sister and her family to the doctor and my parents and I, to go around the place. First place we went is Forever 21 since I heard it's sale there. As soon as we entered, there were tons of wonderful clothes and I had the feeling of being over-whelmed. We went around F21 for I guess an hour? since there were a lot of nice clothes and even my dad chose for me and for himself. After roaming the store, we fitted all the clothes we gathered and eliminated some that are too simple for that price. I got two tops and my did didn't get any. He even calls Forever 21 "Everything 1,000" HAHA!

As soon as we went out, we looked for pants for daddy. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to buy since he's looking for something that's 3 for 100. LOL! Walking for hours, and hours we felt tired already and decided to go to the clinic. Beside the clinic there's a stall of health beverages and muffins! Since my dad and I loves eating, we tried it! I ordered a shake named "Immuno-booster" while dad tried something for the memory. Mine tastes like banana and mango mixed together and dad's shake tasted like mango. Then we ordered two muffins that does something with the heart. And it was scrumptious! Sad that I wasn't able to get the price and name of the store.
The stall where we drank the healthy stuff

Finally, my sister's check-up's done! We went to The Annex since all the time we stayed in The Block. We went to their department store to look for clothes for Kelly (I realized this is an annual thing already) After buying, we looked for a restaurant in time for dinner. Then my dad asked where the Sky Garden is to check the restaurants there. Sadly, no restaurant in the Skygarden catch our attention. So we went back inside and ate dinner at Mann Hann. We were fifth in line but we're okay with that since patience is a virtue. LOL WHAT. Anyway, while my parents were waiting with Kelly sleeping, me, Ate Kim, and Kuya Arjay went back to the Skygarden to try Gongcha. We ordered their house special, wintermelon for Php200+ It's not disappointing though since the staff are nice and so as the drink. We then headed back to Mann Hann and just in time to order our dinner.

Right before going back to The Block, my mom saw a really cute dress from meg* and so I tried it out and looked nice on me. And my dad bought it but before buying it, I had to give my dad an explanation why I need that dress. I told him that since he's active again in rotary, I should buy more dresses since I lacked dress the last time he was active. And so he did bought it :D

It was a really tiring day with all the walking (and eating) Hahaha! Heading home, there was hard rain fall so it made our trip extra exciting. Having family bonding day is really important since this strengthens our bond and share more experiences together. :)

30/30

I've been using this application 30/30 and it had helped me A LOT with my time management especially when there are piles of work to do. With the help of this application, everything became easier with what school work to finish first and to focus on. For the past three days, I would finish my work faster which means more time for me to rest. This would really help people who are encountering problems regarding time management and having the feeling of stress since you don't know what to do and everything's just a blur. *Pictures of this application to be posted soon since I'm just using my phone :)

Public School Interaction

July 13, 2012 our batch had a chance to interact with the Public School Students of San Isidro National High School in Antipolo. I didn't feel any excitement before the event since I don't know what to expect. Although our teacher sort of told us about how their school would look like and their classrooms. She even told us that in one classroom there will be 60 public school students + 14 Assumption Students. So that's really a lot. Maybe that's why I didn't feel any excitement rather, I felt scared.

When we reached our destination, I initially looked at their surroundings. Their school isn't that congested in fact there were a lot of trees. They had few buildings which made it feel fresh. Next thing to do is to line up and wait for our partners to come to us since they know our names. We had a ratio of 2 AA student : 1 San Isidro student. We had time to get to know each other and even played games.

The next activity is the exciting one. We had a chance to sit-in with them. The class that we entered didn't have a teacher inside but there were a lot of gay students. They entertained us and we showed our talents. Since I sat in the middle (and the only one there) the gay student called my attention and asked what my talent/s is/are. I said that I love playing football. But then my partner told him that I knew how to play the guitar so he asked me to play a song. What's nice about this student is he's a directioner. Good thing I know a One Direction song. He was so happy! :)

Since I had friends from the other section, they shared their experiences which is quite sad and very shocking. They said that during their sit-in the teacher bragged about our school saying "Ang mamahal ng tuition niyan! Lahat ng classroom nila may aircon!" (which is not true - we have trees) "Teachers nila 23,000 ang sweldo!" My friends had an initial reaction that we came there not to compare but to interact. The teacher were degrading her students. Another friend of mine received a letter from her partner and the highlight is "Thank you for the experience especially with the people like us..." We were all shocked since there are no difference between us and them. It's just the status in life and school but we all have an equal dignity to keep and take care.

Our teacher shared what she heard from our other batch mates. She even told us that she can't help but eve's drop since the topic was so interesting. The conversation went like this:
Student 1: Alam mo ba, yung teacher sa class namin nag tanong siya kung anong pinag kaiba ng aso sa tao. Tapos may taga San Isidro na nag sabi na ang aso, hindi nag-iisip pero ang tao oo. Sumagot yung teacher. Sabi, edi aso ka pala.
It's just sad how their teachers treat them. It made me think that I should still be thankful for my teachers since they bring out the best in us.

Here are some pictures from the event:

Thursday 12 July 2012

Because this is so hard not to talk about.

My usual routine when I arrive from school is to first, check the kitchen (in case of left overs) And then I go to my sister's room to check on Kelly. This time, when I opened the door I saw this...

My sister looked like she just won a lottery in a very evil way. Out of excitement she told me to come in (which is not normal) and see something very interesting on her laptop. I couldn't wait for the laptop to load so I just asked her. "Ano ba yun?" Then she laughed. Right on time for the laptop to load.

Apparently, someone assumed something AGAIN and started a social network battle. If you know my sister her mind farts a lot... especially when she's on caffeine. By mind fart I mean she would say very witty/philosophical/nakaka tama statements. She doesn't usually direct it to someone but certain people keep assuming it's them. So, she posted this.

I couldn't help but agree with this statement:
Tignan mo itong isang kaibigan ko, alam natin may kaya yan. Porket ba pinopost niya ang mga rendezvous niya sa Europe, social climber na siya?
It made me think. Her mind fart has sense this time. Sometimes people tend to judge right away without really knowing what they're saying. We often fall under the trap of thinking too high of ourselves. That's not bad as long as you don't exaggerate to the point that no one else is "higher" than you.

When you feel that someone is higher than you are, you initially call names, labels, and other derogatory terms towards that person. Then someone comes out and points out that what you're doing is wrong, you immediately respond in a negative manner.

Point is, if you criticize learn to accept criticisms as well. Don't act like some grade school kid having a tantrum...because that's just not COOL.

So far so good

School started last June 13, 2012. I felt neutral about it since I didn't know what to expect and I thought it would just be another normal yet a lot of twist school year. Even during summer time I would tell my best friend that I think we'll be classmates this Junior year. Guess what, we are! My initial reaction is that this year will be fun and at the same time interesting since I have my best friend with me.

Any who, I have this big dilemma that needs to be answered immediately yet I'm taking my time and making thing go smoothly and slowly. I think you know that I really love soccer. My friends and my best friend kept on telling that I should really join the varsity team. My initial reaction is: "Why not?" But then the fear of getting away from my comfort zone started entering. Another reason is the work load. I've heard that Junior year is really tough and it needs to be treated carefully and seriously since this will determine what college to enter and what course to take for our future. Right now, I'm still reminiscing whether to join or not.

Speaking of college, last June 14 we had our IFT-Career Test. The test is easy yet should be thought about since this will determine what career we will enter in college. The test is about our personality, what we like to do, and what subjects we like. (lol) The results of my career test are as follows:
1. Government and public administration
2. Law, Security and Safety
3. Education
4. Finance

I don't know how to react with the first result but ever since I was a kid I had the interest with politics and government. With the second one, I really admire lawyers-who fight for the right one in an equal manner. It's a "so-so" thing for me. Third one, Education: Once I told this to my mom as soon as I arrived our house, her reaction is "That's normal! It's in our blood. That will really appear" I remember when I was a kid, I would always play school with my playmates. I would always be the teacher. So I think it's really in the blood. HAHA! Fourth, finance. I think this is math. I don't really like math. But I think finance is where you fix money and stuff connected with money. I do realize that I always keep track of my spending and earning. I have this app called Living Expense. It actually helps me balance my expenses and see how much I earn or value my allowance.

That's it for my first week of Junior high. I hope there will be more experiences to share and to remember forever and always. <3

Something about myself

Since my very first post is a little sentimental or too expressive. I have decided to introduce myself.
Here are some facts about me.

1. I've been really into soccer ever since I was in grade 5 but I only had the courage to let it out and let everyone know when I entered first year high school. Maybe that's one of the reasons why I named my blog "break the silence"
2. I just learned the guitar a year ago. My sister taught me years back when I was still a kid. I didn't have the attention to listen so she stopped teaching me. Then Christmas of 2010 my closest cousin taught me how and I got interested. Then there I knew I had the talent to play the guitar.
3. I like playing volleyball. Since I got into soccer I somehow 'lost' the talent. Hihi.
4. I have a niece named Schaine (son of my cousin). He's the one I'm closest to so I consider him as my own little brother. We have the same interests and we also grew together. We both like soccer and enjoy playing it! We even enrolled in Ateneo Football Center. Summer of 2011.

5. Another niece of mine is Kelly (daughter of my sister). She's like my little sister and I often take care of her when her parent's aren't around. Even if she's only a year old we still enjoy each other and play weird games that we only understand.
6. Here are my friends! (from left to right) Inez, Keziah, Sheena, Gela, Lauriz, Me, Nikki, and Ruth. Celina wasn't included in the photo since there was a problem back then. Ruth however doesn't hang out with us also because of the same problem.
 7. Last but definitively not the least. I like taking pictures. What hinders me is my 'insecurities' and I'm hating it. I'm trying not to make a big deal out of it. I'm slowly getting there. c:

People tend to post their personal problems with someone in facebook (and make it VERY obvious) I get it. Freedom of speech. But why must you let everyone know and later on spread and become the good guy when in fact you were the one who spoiled it to everyone making the other party look bad. I mean, why not keep it to yourself or share it to someone special and close to you that can be trusted. Or, make a personal blog/own a diary to express yourself better and not blab about it. Unless you wanna be the talk of the town which is not really healthy if it's in a bad way. I'm just really wondering and it makes me hinder myself from sleeping. Oh well, I guess I'll have better answers when I wake up in the morning. Think about it.

PS:
It's alright if you don't agree, we all have our own opinions. If you agree, well, I guess we're on the same page.
